Hi everyone! I wanted to share a little bit about myself and what my massage and nutrition practice is all about.
I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Exercise Science where I also ran track and cross country all 4 years. I wanted to do something more than what I was able to do with my degree, which led me to the Nutritional Therapy Association. This is where my holistic nutrition education came to be. Through NTA I learned that nutrition is so much more than counting calories and eating salads. Food should make your body feel amazing, and help it to heal, not feel terrible. After being enlightened through NTA, I decided that I wanted to be a well-rounded health professional and pursue Massage Therapy. I studied under The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (yes, it was amazing as it sounds). At CRSMT, I was fortunate enough to be taught by some of the best in the country. I learned to not only how to give a good treatment, but how to help the body to heal as well. I am versed in Traditional Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofasical, Neuromuscular, Injury Rehab, Sports Therapy, Craniosacral, and Prenatal. Additionally, I do offer Aromatherapy and Cupping.
As you can tell, I am very passionate about holistic health. I want each client to not only feel well muscularly, but internally as well. When you come see me for a massage, I will always address your problem areas while still giving you a full body massage because its all connected. I work from a whole, not just the parts. I will have you go home with recommended stretches, exercises, etc as well. With nutrition, I will never have you change or alter a part of your lifestyle that I don't think you can handle. Also, my goal is to find a lifestyle that works for you. I am about healing the body, and making small goals along the way to the larger one. The body will not change over night with massage or nutrition, so be patient with me as I help you to make some of the best changes in your life!
